Weekly Want No. 9

1/2/3/4/5
(clickable links)

Hi guys! It's been a while since I did a wish list (and trust me, it's not through lack of wishing) so here's a little peek at what I'm loving at the moment.
I really want a roll neck jumper (this is without seeing what my neck looks like in one yet!) so I'm going to see if I can find this Zara one at the weekend, it has a gold zip all the way down the back too which jazzes it up a little! Also tempted to buy these false nails, they have a really pretty gold tip and I ammmm going out next weekend so maybe I'll treat myself, not like I need to!! These Accessorize earrings will be perfect for Christmas and New Year for yourself or maybe a little pressie for somebody :). I love this Missguided Swing Dress, it's made from a fabric with a slight sheen and would look amazing with black tights, black boots, a fur stole and perhaps this black bag from Mango. Selling it to myself already oops! Let's see how many shopping bags I return home with this weekend!

Cat in the Hat

Blouse - Monsoon; Leggings - H&M; Bag - Zara; Shoes - Topshop; Hat - Miss Selfridge

Since I started full time work I've found that I never have time to take blog photos which makes me really sad :(! I also managed to pick a flat to move into with awful natural light, hence my fuzzy pics (ARGH! I have such bad luck with places I move into and lighting!). Hopefully you can forgive me on this occasion! It's so dark outside because it's absolutely teeeeeming it down with rain, yuk! So onto my not entirely weather appropriate outfit! My blouse is a little Monsoon number. I bought it for my mum and I've seen soooo many of the girls at work wearing it that I just couldn't resist. It's a crepe material with a lovely red and black all over print. I've belted it at the waist as being so short it comes down to my knees when loose! I teamed it with black leggings, black slipper shoes and my new Miss Selfridge floppy hat which I loveeeee! It makes me feel a million times posher (I am not posh in the slightest!). Feel a bit like I'm a Made In Chelsea girl. I can only dream!

Hope you're all well and thank you for continuing to read my blog despite my MIA-ness. Lots of love! :)

Kimono Love

Kimono - Missguided; Jeans - Topshop; Top - Glamorous; Shoes - Primark; Hat - Missguided

Sorry, I was definitely trying to be Millie Mackintosh in the first picture with my bowler hat! This Missguided kimono is absolutely beautiful! I love it sooo much! The fringe detail at the bottom adds so much, I can imagine wearing this with little black denim shorts and sunglasses as well when it's sunny on holiday near the beach (dreaming!). I paired it here with my Glamorous black cami, black Topshop Joni jeans and black flatforms. A little dark maybe, but the sun isn't shining at the time I'm writing this so it doesn't matter about being totally summery ;). The kimono also has a little wrap belt in the same fabric so it can be tied around the waist.

Giving You the Cold Shoulder

Blouse - Forever 21; Disco Pants - Glamorous; Necklace - Accessorize; Shoes - Primark

I totally forgot that I had bought this blouse! I bought it mid-exams and obviously while chucking on any old jumper/top and jeans for the library everyday, put it in the back of my wardrobe and have only just found it now! It's from Forever 21 and has cut-out detailing. I know I called it a cold shoulder blouse in the title but it's not really, it shows the more flattering part of my collarbone (I have quite broad shoulders so I don't think cut outs suit me there!). It's fitted without being too tight and is fab for dressing down disco pants for going out for dinner or something :) I added my favourite Accessorize teardrop necklace for a bit of sparkle.

Return of the Disco Pant

Blazer - H&M; Top - Miss Selfridge; Disco Pants - Glamorous; Shoes - Primark

Agh! So I hadn't worn my disco pants in forever until taking these photos, I forgot how tight they were but how much I LOVE THEM! For a boyish figure like mine, the high waist and clingy-ness is so flattering! I wanted to tone them down a bit to how I usually wear them on a night out, so opted for a Miss Selfridge peachy-coral cami top tucked in and a white tailored blazer over the top. I can't really bear wearing flatties with disco pants so I teamed with these black flatforms for a bit of extra lift but a helllll of a lot of extra comfort over stiletto type shoes! I wouldn't wear the blazer if I was going out to a club though, imagine the carnage, tears and dry cleaning bill....

Leopard Pleat

Skirt - H&M; Top - Glamorous; Necklace - Etsy; Bag - Miss Selfridge (old); Sandals - New Look (old)

This skirt is my new favourite thing! I spotted it in Meadowhall last week, said I'd come back to try it on later, and then it had sold out in my size! How annoying! Fortunately as I was in London in the week, I popped into the Westfield White City H&M and found it. It's made from a pleated flow-y material and has a lovely green and black leopard print all over, perfect for A/W with tights or now without! I paired it with a gold River Island belt, my Glamorous black cami and a long chain crystal necklace from Etsy. My bag is very old (we're talking 4 years old!) and from Miss Selfridge. I'd definitely wear something like this to work :) smart but casual and comfortable enough for the office.

Summer Summer Summertime

Top - Glamorous; Shorts - Topshop; Sandals - New Look (old); Necklace - Next; Watch - ASOS (old)

So this wasn't the most apt title for a blog post looking out the window today (oh hey cloud!), but being in London this week and it being particularly warm and sunny I thought an outfit like this would be nice just for in the day, doing a bit of shopping or sitting in a cafe or bar! I bought these Topshop crochet shorts around two months ago on my first trip to one of the 'Outfit' stores, I could go crazy in those places! My cami top is by Glamorous. I bought a black version and also a cream one, they have a crossover strappy back and are so light and airy, perfect for the humidity. My necklace is a rose gold and glass number from the new season range in Next (loving their jewellery at the moment!) and my watch is an old season ASOS, also in a rose gold tone - who needs Michael Kors (bleugh!).

High Tea

Dress - Missguided; Shoes - Primark

I have NEVER found a crossover front dress that actually stays relatively crossed over on me until this Missguided one! Normally there's a huge gape of material showing off a lot of bra, so much so that I have to pin or stitch the front of the dress so that it looks normal! But this dress is tight enough to fit me perfectly. I'm not normally a skater dress kinda girl (love my bodycon too much!) but as I'm starting a full time job soon, I thought I should get something a little more demure. Though saying that, this dress is very short (and I'm only 5ft 4, so tall girls be careful!). I paired the dress with flatforms though I think a lighter colour would be more flattering for the day time. I'd probably wear this dress with an embellished but not too fancy sandal, as I think the floral print does all the talking. My new favourite dress!

The Liebster Award

So Carly from CEE JAY ELL nominated me for a Liebster award, thanks Carly! We went to secondary school together maaaany years ago now and it's so nice to see somebody who I know getting into the blogging world, definitely check out her blog girls! :) I have been nominated for these before but have never had time to actually post my answers, so having a week left before I start work and a little bit of free time I thought I'd answer the questions Carly tagged me in! The Liebster awards are fab for finding new smaller blogs, and finding people who have similar views and interests to you! So be prepared for a little insight into my life!

Rules

1. Give ten random facts about yourself.
2. Answer the ten questions given to you by your tagger.
3. Choose ten bloggers with less than two hundred follows to tag with the Liebster Award, and link them in your post.
4. Pick ten new questions to ask your chosen bloggers.
5. Let your bloggers know they've been nominated.
6. Don't tag back!

Ten Facts About Me

1. I studied Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine at the University of Nottingham and just graduated with a 2.1, however I no longer want anything to do with science! I love the subject but it's just not where I see my life going.

2. Next week I'm moving to London to start a new job as a Merchandise Admin Assistant in Ladieswear at Monsoon Accessorize which I'm super excited about. Working in a fashion based environment has been my dream!

3. I'm a cat obsessive! I have two babies, Witty and Eddie, and they are just that - my babies! Anything with cats on/cat related is my weakness.

4. I model myself on Kate Middleton, clothes, hair, make-up etc! She's so classically beautiful and I get told I look like her often (I can only dream!) but I won't complain at that comparison.

5. I hate fruit. Well, I don't HATE it as such. I would just much prefer to eat salad and vegetables. I end up wasting money on fruit as I buy it with good intentions and then revert back to my usual salads and it goes off. Oops. Also, those sugars are not good for my teeth!

6. I'd much rather go out than stay in. My favourite thing to do is go on a night out with the girls, have cocktails, go to a club etc. Nights in are okay, but while I'm young I'd rather go out and have fun.

7. Until I was in sixth form, I hated clothes shopping. I was a bit of a tomboy, okay okay, A LOT. I just preferred going to the football than spending my money on clothes. I'm so different now, and have definitely made up for my lack of shopping in more recent years.

8. I do like football, I'm not as mad on it as I used to be. I support Lincoln City and had a season ticket for many years, though now I rarely go!

9. If I could live off a food, it'd be antipasti. That and a glass of prosecco is heaven for me. I'm an easily pleased girl.

10. I don't own a pair of trainers or any form of sportswear. I don't go to the gym. My exercise is walking. Does that make me lazy? Haha.

Carly's Questions

You can choose to be one Disney character, who would it be and why?
Marie from the Aristocats. Being a cat and wearing a pink bow....can life get any better?

If you could have any super power, which would it be?
Understanding what goes on in a boy's head haha. No, it'd be to click my fingers and have an all over perfect tan without the need for mitts and fake tan!

If you were told you could only have one beauty product for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Foundation! I have a really uneven complexion and foundation is my saviour!

Heels or Flats?
Heels always on a night out. For the day, flats, or flatforms to give a bit of extra height!

Nude or Bold Lip?
I think I'm somewhere in the middle. I only wear a light coral ever.

What is your go to beauty brand?
Rimmel everyday of the week. Relatively inexpensive and fab quality.

How would you describe your style?
Classic, girlie with a hint of on trend. I don't follow trends as such, I just wear what suits me.

Why did you start blogging?
I started last year as a distraction from breaking up from a long term relationship. I felt I needed something to take my mind off being upset and starting this blog has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. I doubt I'd even have got job interviews if I didn't have this, I couldn't be happier.

If you could build a house anywhere, where would you build it?
This sounds so sad, but somewhere around Lincoln/Nottingham. I'm moving to London but I just know I'll head back up to the Midlands when I'm older. I was born in Lincoln and I'll never stay away :).

You can be another person for a month, who would you be and why?
I would've said Kate Middleton but I don't think I could deal with a baby at the age of 22, so what about my future self? That'd be so scary though, imagine knowing what was coming for you in the future. I wouldn't complain if it was a good vision though!

Maybelline Baby Lips

Maybelline Baby Lips in Peach Kiss £2.99 - Boots

I was one of those girls eagerly anticipating the arrival of Baby Lips in the UK, and sadly I'm really disappointed with my experience with them. I opted for Peach Kiss, which I did think would be slightly more pigmented than it is (it shows up as no colour at all!). I didn't go for the two pink shades as I hate pink on my lips but I have been informed these are more rich in colour. I also didn't realise quite how strong the peach smell was. It's so sweet it makes me feel ill! The formula is okay for a bit after application, but then dries my lips out so much I would have to be constantly reapplying throughout the day. Sorry Maybelline, this hype was not worth it :(. I'll be sticking to my rose tinted Vaseline!

Anyone else had a similar experience with Baby Lips?

Weekly Want No. 8

1/2/3/4/5
(clickable links)

Oh dear, so looks like I'm wanting everything I see at the moment! This Missguided dress is perfect for summer and I love the crossover detail. I have a black long sleeved Topshop dress in the same style but this one could be worn in the day or on a night out (versatility is so important!). I'm also loving pastel/cornflower blue at the moment, this bag from Zara is so beautiful (if a little small for me!) and would be amazing for a shopping trip when you don't want to drag your life around with you in your bag. The blue fluffy jumper is from Topshop and will be perfect for layering when autumn arrives (trying not to think about that right now though!). My major lust of the week is this pleated blouse from COS. I saw it in the window of the Westfield London store and fell in love, then saw it was £59, but I still really want it. Let's see how well I'll do to resist! This necklace is from Accessorize and I've kindaaaa already bought it! I love it so much, it's perfect under a blouse collar and is just sooo beautiful!
I'm moving to London to start a new job in a few weeks so might be treating myself to a few bits from this list soon ;) can't wait for the regular shopping trips down there though, a bit different to my usual Lincoln shops, eeeek!

If you haven't already, remember to enter my competition! Winner will be announced on August 1st! :)

Happy Birthday GWIW!

Grace's Walk In Wardrobe turned 1 year old on Saturday, yaaaaay! It's been an amazing year, meeting so many new bloggers and being able to express my style to so many more people than just the people I walk past every day. To thank everyone for reading my posts I've bought a small prize (we'll call it a birthday present!) which I'm giving you the chance to win!

I love the colour of this Maybelline nail polish, perfect for everyday wear. It's in the shade 'Mint for Life' and will look great against neutrals or other pastel colours in your outfits. I've paired this with some pretty gold earrings from Accessorize which will dress up any outfit perfectly.

TO ENTER: Leave me a comment on this post with your name, your style icon (I love knowing who everyone looks up to!) and your email address :). You must be following me on GFC or Bloglovin' and you must be living in the UK as I don't think I am able to send nail varnish internationally (sorry!). The winner will be announced on 1st August!

Good luck everybody!

Pleats & Teardrops

Blouse - Topshop; Jeans - Topshop; Necklace - Accessorize; Shoes - c/o Next

I was lucky enough to find this pleated Topshop blouse in the sale last week. I've had my eye on it for a while but at £35 I couldn't bring myself to buy it. But when I saw it was £15, I grabbed it straightaway! It's so light and floaty, and admittedly would look much nicer with a tan (I'm so so pale at the moment!). With my black Jonis and a pair of leopard print ballet pumps it'd look great for lunch or shopping. I teamed it with this teardrop necklace from Accessorize which is similar to (if not the same as) the one Lucy Watson wore on Made In Chelsea a few episodes ago. It looks great under a collared blouse which is how I'll be wearing it from now on :)

Tailored

Shorts - Miss Selfridge via eBay; Top - Primark; Blazer - H&M; Shoes - c/o Next

I thought this outfit could be a smart look for a night out. Not sure if I'd be brave enough to go into a club wearing a cream blazer (stain alert!) but for cocktails in a nice bar this would definitely be something I'd wear. The baroque print vest was featured in my recent haul post, such a bargain at £4! It's a shame I couldn't see any similar styles in Primark as they're perfect for dressing up or down. I managed to get these Miss Selfridge belted shorts from eBay for around £1.50! I was so happy, they were brand new with tags and originally around £35. I'll definitely get a lot of wear out of them because they can be worn with tights underneath in the winter, or as I've worn them here, bare-legged with heels. I paired it again with my favourite blazer of the moment (I love it sooo much, definitely worth the extra pennies!).

Canary Yellow

Blazer - Missguided; Jeans - Topshop; Sandals - c/o Next

I've wanted to do a post on this blazer for so long, but the lighting was just never right. But finally, here it is in all its glory. This beautiful yellow blazer is from Missguided and is the perfect colour for summer. It compliments cream, navy and black and would brighten up a work outfit instantly. I tend not to wear too much/bold jewellery when I'm wearing it as I think it's statement enough itself. Here I've teamed the blazer with a pair of navy Joni jeans, some gold ankle strap sandals (which I was lucky enough to win in a competition!) and a simple white cami top. I'd wear this outfit out for dinner or shopping with the girls. Missguided have the loveliest blazers, although I think this particular one is now sold out. I seem to remember them having some other bright colours of this style though :)

Tuesday 2 July 2013

Coral Lanterns

Dress - Oasis; Blazer - H&M; Shoes - ASOS; Necklace - H&M

It's outfit post time again! I've got a few different outfit ideas that I'll schedule across the next few days. When I put this outfit together, I thought it'd be perfect for a wedding guest outfit, or even to wear to the races or a similar sort of event. I love the cream and coral combination, summery yet smart at the same time. I paired the outfit with my white pointed toe ASOS flats, but could swap for heels if I wanted something a little more dressy. The dress is an Oasis design from last Spring Summer, the lanterns are cute but more grown up than my usual cat/dog prints! The pleating on the skirt part of the dress makes it floaty and feminine and would be perfect if the sun was shining! I added a H&M statement necklace over the top and a simple silver and turquoise ring.

Collective Haul

Since I finished exams, I've been treating myself to a few things every now and again after my extended dissertation/revision period and degree result :). These weren't all bought at the same time though, I can control myself, promise!

Cosmetics - I've bought a few Rimmel Salon Pro polishes recently. The shades are 'Cocktail Passion' and 'Reggae Splash', neither of which I have tried yet but I've heard good reviews. I think Reggae Splash is my favourite though! I also bought the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush which has been a revelation to me! It makes your foundation look airbrushed. I was using a beauty blender before which made my foundation look thick and gloopy when applied - not attractive. I would definitely recommend the Real Techniques brush though, it's worth those pennies! I bought the L'Oreal Superliner to replace my Rimmel liquid liner and I'm not sure about it yet, it's very shiny when applied and I think I prefer a matte effect eyeliner-wise. The final cosmetics product I picked up was the Bourjois Cream Blush in shade 03. I love a cream blush and this is the perfect rosy pink for my cheeks, and gives a little hint of sheen as well as smelling all floral-y in the pot!

Clothes - These Topshop lace shorts are perfect for the summer. Paired with heels or sandals and a shell top they look great on a night out. They'd be great for holiday too. Any shorts I buy have to be high waisted, I find them much more flattering! I also went a little blazer crazy in H&M. The cream blazer is part of the new collection and it has a really pretty lapel shape and is structured and will smarten up any outfit. The black beaded blazer was in the sale for just £15 and being a little more cropped, is different to the other black blazers I already own. Finally, the two tops I bought from Primark were such bargains. The cream top has an embossed style floral pattern all over it and is slightly cropped in length, and the longer vest is a lighter, floatier material in a baroque print. I think the cropped vest was £8 and the baroque vest £4 and they will look great with a pair of high waisted jeans or a skirt and a little blazer.

Have you been on any shopping trips recently and picked up any bargains?

Weekly Want No. 7

1/2/3/4/5/6
(clickable links)

Hey everyone! Sorry again for the lack of blogging action on my part, I moved home from university last weekend and have been trying to get sorted out ever since (I haven't even brought half of my things home yet!). I haven't done a weekly want in for-ev-errr and I went to Meadowhall yesterday so have spotted a few things I now have my little eye on.

I really want a more grown-up, new phone case and I think this H&M one is perfect. I picked it up in Scunthorpe a few months ago and put it back down & now can't find it anywhere but online, so an order looks like it may have to be placed! I love the turquoise necklace from Accessorize. I always wear a necklace under collared blouses and this one would be perfect against a crisp white or cream blouse. It also comes in a nudey-pink colour and a deep red, both with gold chain detailing too.
The River Island shorts would be perfect for a night out, not so sure how much I will be going out now I've finished university but the textured polka dots are almost too cute to resist! The same goes for this Lipsy dress, it's now half-price in the sale but I just don't know if I can justify buying something I'm not sure if I'll wear very often! I love the sequin and mesh detailing on it though!
The two make-up products I've chosen in this post are the Rimmel Salon Pro nail polish in 'Reggae Splash' which caught my eye yesterday as I ran into Superdrug for emergency tanning mitts! I think they have it on special offer for £2.99 at the moment (along with the rest of the range!) and it's the perfect colour for summer, a really peachy pastel shade...perfect for toenails on the beach maybe? The lip crayon is one of the new Bourjois Colour Boost range in a shade called 'Orange Punch', a lovely bright coral colour just right for the summer. Really excited to try one of these out as I've heard the pigmentation and smoothness of application is really nice.

Have you tried any of the cosmetics I've picked out/what are your summer must haves for fashion and make up?

Maxi Skirt

Skirt & Vest - ASOS; Blazer - Missguided; Shoes - Blog Sale; Necklace - H&M; Bag - Zara

Hey! After a long time away I'm back to blogging! I've had my dissertation and finals to do and then had some other bits and pieces to attend to before I could finally relax and start taking some outfit pics again! I am disappointed at the poor quality of this picture is though, my room at uni is so dark and I can't wait to get back home to do some nicer photos!

I bought this ASOS maxi skirt a little while ago and I love it. The split is a little daring but this would be an evening outfit, I couldn't bare so much leg in the day! I bought this in a size 4 because the 6 was sold out and I am definitely NOT a size 4 so I think as it stretches you can afford to go down a size! I paired it with a little black vest top. a cream blazer and some cute flatform style shoes, but could dress it down with sandals or up with some nude heels. My Zara bag is properly being put to use now (I didn't want to use it for lectures as I thought it'd get messed up!).

So nervous now I'm finally a graduate. Job hunting is v. stressful but I just need to keep at it and hopefully I'll have my dream career really soon!

Hope you are all well, love you lots x

Mini Jewellery Haul

All items c/o MissCinderella

I've definitely become more of a magpie over the last couple of years. I was never really a jewellery girl before I came to university but now I always spend forever and day carefully select my necklaces, rings etc. to match my outfits each day, which can't be a bad thing, right?!
My lovely friend Hope kindly allowed me to select a few little pretty pieces from her new jewellery store MissCinderella, so in usual Grace style, the first thing I went for was a statement necklace. This pretty multicoloured gem necklace will look so nice under a blouse collar or over a plain black or white top in the day or at night. I also chose a Hamsa necklace, I'm not sure what they actually represent at all, which is probably a bit lazy of me, but I liked the neutral cream-coloured stones in this one which will match with lots of outfits. The evil-eye bracelet is probably the piece I have worn most, I just put it on with a watch and a few gold band rings and I'm good to go! I had to choose an animal themed piece (of course!) so this owl ring found it's way onto my finger. I love it! It's adjustable too so you're not limited to which finger you can wear it on :)!
Finally, I jazzed my phone up in the only way I know how.....PINK AND SPARKLES. I love the effect this case has, it reminds me of a mermaid with it's iridescent shine.
I would recommend you definitely check out MissCinderella soon, there's so many more pretty items on there and a lot more to come v. soon!

Growing Up..

1/2/3/4/5/6
(clickable links)

You might have noticed a distinct lack of activity on my blog of late which I'm so sorry for! I've been caught up in dissertation and finals revision woes and finally my dissertation is complete. Taking it to be printed and bound tomorrow woohooo! Anybody who's in/has been in this situation will know how relieving this feels! Just 5 exams to go now & that's my university life over forever (so sad :'(!!), which leads me onto this post.

I feel that although my style has changed considerably over the past five years or so, I need to dress more smartly. Going out into the world looking for a job is going to need a lot of maturity and an equally mature dress sense. I'm not saying I'm going to start dressing boringly, I sort of want the Kate Middleton effect (who doesn't!). She dresses amazingly smart yet still on-trend which is something I want to channel now I'm 22. At the moment, I'm a sucker for animal printed clothes which I think needs to stop! As does wearing really short skirts (unless I'm on a night out!). First impressions count way too much to put a foot wrong!

I've chosen these few pieces as a start. Blouses can look really smart with trousers or skinny black jeans, and I think these two are perfect. I'm trying to move away from my classic button up blouses, and these two are light, pastel-y and chiffon-y (so many -ys!) perfect for Spring. I chose an equally pastel coloured nail polish to complement them in Essie Fiji, which will look amazing against a tan. Also with regards to make-up, I think it's about time I bought some decent make-up brushes! Everyone raves about the Real Techniques brushes and I found these so I may make a naughty little purchase later! Accessories wise, this Reiss credit card holder is the most gorgeous shade of pink and will look fab in anybody's handbag and this dainty feather necklace from Warehouse will set off any outfit without looking too OTT.

I hope you liked my picks in this post. I may be spending a little of my last ever student loan quite soon I think ;)

Products I Love ♥

I don't normally do posts like this, as I tend to wear the same make up each day and prefer to spend the majority of my money on clothes and accessories. I thought this post would make a nice change and give you a little insight into my favourite products around at the mo!

Trevor Sorbie Beautiful Curls Constructing Spray
I love this little bottle of miracles! Recently, because I don't have any layers in my hair at the moment and my hair is SO thick and heavy and naturally frizzy, I've found curling my hair a problem! As soon as I went outside after curling, the curls would drop leaving me with horrible wavy kinks at the ends of my hair, despite using a lot of hairspray! So I decided, curl prep was required, and so I found this in my local Boots. You spray it on each section of hair before you curl, wait for the hair to dry, and curl as normal. Now my curls stay in pretty well even if it's a bit windy, hooray for Trev!

MUA Pro Brow Eyebrow Kit
I used to fill my eyebrows with an eyebrow pencil but I found the colour didn't really last very long and sometimes I'd be a bit heavy handed and have to wipe off excess colour a lot (I'm not a great fan of the Scouse Brow look!). I picked up this MUA kit which has 3 brown shades, a light, medium and dark and the medium is perfect for my eyebrows for everyday. The powder lasts me all day, however if I go out in the evening I would definitely have to reapply. The wax is also pretty good, but I find that it runs out a long time before the powders do, which is a shame!

The Body Shop Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream
I have very oily skin, which makes wearing moisturiser, primer and then foundation a nightmare, especially in the summer. I detest moisturisers that make my skin even more greasy than it already is, so this mattifying day cream is perfect. It gives me a nice oil-free base to apply primer and foundation on to, although I have to apply powder continuously throughout the day to keep the shine at bay! MUA Lipsticks in Shade 7 and Shade 14
My favourite lipstick ever is the MAC Costa Chic Lustre lipstick which I find incredibly hard to find anywhere! It's a much softer shade than the Frost Costa Chic that's being sold currently, so I've been trying so hard to find a dupe for it. I heard that MUA sold lippies for ONE WHOLE ENGLISH POUND, so I had to investigate, and this is where I found Shade 7. It's very very similar to my coveted Costa Chic Lustre and for a pound I couldn't resist. I find these lipsticks do dry my lips a little, so I normally apply Vaseline over the top so the colour looks a lot more smooth.

L'Oreal Lumi Magique Base Primer
I don't actually use this primer as a primer, I tend to use it to highlight my cheekbones and the bridge of my nose. It gives a beautiful dewy finish to the skin and looks very fresh and natural, unlike the horrible glittery highlighters which I cannot stand. A classic understated look is much softer and nicer, and this primer ticks all the boxes in my opinion.

Hope you enjoyed my little(-ish!) ramble about these products! Are there any bargain products you're loving that I should look out for?
