London Sun

Blazer - H&M; Necklace - Zara; Jeans - Topshop; Shoes - Primark; Bag - Zara

First outfit post in foreverrrrr! My mum came to visit me in London for the weekend and kindly took lots of photos for me (love having a photographer, sooo much easier than a tripod!). On Sunday, we took a little walk around Sloane Square and down the New King's Road, popping in Zara on the walk down (oops!). I bought this little H&M jacket just before Christmas after seeing a few of the girls at work sporting it. I love it! I did think it was a bit too jazzy at first but I've got used to it now! I've teamed it with a black woven cami, black highwaisted jeans and a little pink and gold Zara necklace :) let's hope we get a few more weekends with this kind of weather soon so I can post more outfits!

Return of the Disco Pant

Blazer - H&M; Top - Miss Selfridge; Disco Pants - Glamorous; Shoes - Primark

Agh! So I hadn't worn my disco pants in forever until taking these photos, I forgot how tight they were but how much I LOVE THEM! For a boyish figure like mine, the high waist and clingy-ness is so flattering! I wanted to tone them down a bit to how I usually wear them on a night out, so opted for a Miss Selfridge peachy-coral cami top tucked in and a white tailored blazer over the top. I can't really bear wearing flatties with disco pants so I teamed with these black flatforms for a bit of extra lift but a helllll of a lot of extra comfort over stiletto type shoes! I wouldn't wear the blazer if I was going out to a club though, imagine the carnage, tears and dry cleaning bill....

Tailored

Shorts - Miss Selfridge via eBay; Top - Primark; Blazer - H&M; Shoes - c/o Next

I thought this outfit could be a smart look for a night out. Not sure if I'd be brave enough to go into a club wearing a cream blazer (stain alert!) but for cocktails in a nice bar this would definitely be something I'd wear. The baroque print vest was featured in my recent haul post, such a bargain at £4! It's a shame I couldn't see any similar styles in Primark as they're perfect for dressing up or down. I managed to get these Miss Selfridge belted shorts from eBay for around £1.50! I was so happy, they were brand new with tags and originally around £35. I'll definitely get a lot of wear out of them because they can be worn with tights underneath in the winter, or as I've worn them here, bare-legged with heels. I paired it again with my favourite blazer of the moment (I love it sooo much, definitely worth the extra pennies!).

Canary Yellow

Blazer - Missguided; Jeans - Topshop; Sandals - c/o Next

I've wanted to do a post on this blazer for so long, but the lighting was just never right. But finally, here it is in all its glory. This beautiful yellow blazer is from Missguided and is the perfect colour for summer. It compliments cream, navy and black and would brighten up a work outfit instantly. I tend not to wear too much/bold jewellery when I'm wearing it as I think it's statement enough itself. Here I've teamed the blazer with a pair of navy Joni jeans, some gold ankle strap sandals (which I was lucky enough to win in a competition!) and a simple white cami top. I'd wear this outfit out for dinner or shopping with the girls. Missguided have the loveliest blazers, although I think this particular one is now sold out. I seem to remember them having some other bright colours of this style though :)

Coral Lanterns

Dress - Oasis; Blazer - H&M; Shoes - ASOS; Necklace - H&M

It's outfit post time again! I've got a few different outfit ideas that I'll schedule across the next few days. When I put this outfit together, I thought it'd be perfect for a wedding guest outfit, or even to wear to the races or a similar sort of event. I love the cream and coral combination, summery yet smart at the same time. I paired the outfit with my white pointed toe ASOS flats, but could swap for heels if I wanted something a little more dressy. The dress is an Oasis design from last Spring Summer, the lanterns are cute but more grown up than my usual cat/dog prints! The pleating on the skirt part of the dress makes it floaty and feminine and would be perfect if the sun was shining! I added a H&M statement necklace over the top and a simple silver and turquoise ring.

Maxi Skirt

Skirt & Vest - ASOS; Blazer - Missguided; Shoes - Blog Sale; Necklace - H&M; Bag - Zara

Hey! After a long time away I'm back to blogging! I've had my dissertation and finals to do and then had some other bits and pieces to attend to before I could finally relax and start taking some outfit pics again! I am disappointed at the poor quality of this picture is though, my room at uni is so dark and I can't wait to get back home to do some nicer photos!

I bought this ASOS maxi skirt a little while ago and I love it. The split is a little daring but this would be an evening outfit, I couldn't bare so much leg in the day! I bought this in a size 4 because the 6 was sold out and I am definitely NOT a size 4 so I think as it stretches you can afford to go down a size! I paired it with a little black vest top. a cream blazer and some cute flatform style shoes, but could dress it down with sandals or up with some nude heels. My Zara bag is properly being put to use now (I didn't want to use it for lectures as I thought it'd get messed up!).

So nervous now I'm finally a graduate. Job hunting is v. stressful but I just need to keep at it and hopefully I'll have my dream career really soon!

Hope you are all well, love you lots x

Weekly Want No. 3

Haven't done a wishlist in soooo long! So here goes....

1. Zara Printed Blouse with Studs - I bought this last night after finally finding out where it was from! I saw a girl wearing it in a pic on Instagram and she made it look so classy, so I hunted it down and found it in Zara! You can't see from the picture but there are little gold studs on the shoulders :) really hoping the dipped neck isn't too low, not a fan of the boney chest look!

2. Internacionale Charcoal Texture Blazer - This looks sooo much like the River Island grey blazer that I bought but was too big for me so had to return! Really want it to come instore (yes I have already checked haha!) so I can try it on because I really need a grey blazer. I think they go with so much and I'm missing one in my wardrobe after my last one went bobbly through excessive wear! If not, I'll just order off the website as Internacionale often have free deliv! Wooooooo!

3. H&M Peter Pan Beaded Collar - This is now out of stock sadly, but I've seen quite a few kicking around on eBay. I've been looking for a nice collar for ages to wear over my jumpers but haven't found a really nice one yet. I like this one because the white would compliment most fabric shades and I'm a sucker for sparkle!

4. River Island Cream Cat Face Makeup Bag - Not letting this post go without a cat mention (missing my catties so much while I'm at uni - only 3ish weeks til I see the little rascals now!). I think I might need this makeup bag in my life, IT'S SO CUTE! I told my mum the other day, that there's no way I'm going to grow up out of my animal loving, soft toy loving, anything cute and animal related loving phase, so I'm seriously considering purchasing this little cutie! They also do a dog version, but for me it's aaaaaaaaaaall about the cats!

I've made everything I know is available online into clickable links if you're interested :)

Ps. I have also written a new blog post for Her Campus Nottingham on the best leather sleeved coats on the high street - take a look HERE.

Dalmatian!

Not one of my usual photos unfortunately, as my tripod has been dropped off at my uni house, so just using Instagram pictures for any blog posts until I'm back at university next week! I bought this blazer from Next a few days ago after seeing it another store a few weeks back but it wasn't available in my size. Fortunately there was a size 8 left yaaaay, so I had to get it. It's a sort of jersey material classified as 'dalmatian print' but I think it's more leopard print personally! With it being jersey, it doesn't crease and is super comfy to wear, fab for when I'm sitting in lectures...or the library (nooo!)!

Weekly Want No. 1

Done a little post one some things I have my eye on/have bought this week! I'll try and do these as often as possible, as much as I know I'll never afford everything I write about (sob!). I've added clickable links on all the items that have online shopping links!

1. Blazer with button detail - Never Fully Dressed. LOVE this blazer, the detail on the back is so cute and it's nicely oversized which is a must in a blazer in my opinion! They do a version in magenta with buttons down one side of the front too which I also reeeeally like!

2. Clutch bag - Dorothy Perkins. Unfortunately I can't find this on the website! The image appeared in the DP email newsletter I was sent this morning and straightaway I went on the site to find it but can't! I hope it comes in to stock soon because I think the pattern is so pretty. I know it won't go with many colours apart from neutrals but I reeeeally want one!

3. Studded Pumps by Deena & Ozzy - Urban Outfitters. I caved and ordered these last night after I asked my mum's opinion, and she liked them too! I'm bored of wearing flat shoes in the daytime everyday so I'm going to try these out, think they may look a little more elegant than my usual flatties on my short legs!

4. Studded Jumper - Missguided. I saw this style of jumper in Topshop at first but then discovered on Missguided that they had some very similar a bit cheaper. I like a nice snuggly jumper in the winter at uni when we can't afford to have our heating on all the time and the studs on the shoulders make it a bit more interesting.
