China Print Peplum

This lovely top was a steal from Primark. I came home from uni in the snow last week and found it sitting at the back of one of the rails on its own and I thought I'd cheer myself up weather-wise and keep it as a little something to wear when the sun comes out! I love the print on it, I've been wanting something 'china' print for a while, but didn't want yet another button up blouse, so this was perfect! And at £7 who's going to complain! I layered a H&M white and diamonte statement necklace on top, paired it with the pale blue Joni jeans (which are definitely bigger than my black pair despite the labels showing the same size, which is annoying - definitely try them first if you're buying a pair in a different colour!) and these beautiful shoes from Next that my parents bought me for my birthday. So excited to wear these in the real spring! Not sure where I'm looking in the first pic, maybe trying to do the 'dreamy, head in the clouds' sort of pose, while the reality is more 'head in my dissertation' - sigh.

Easter Faux Fur

Hey everyone, I know it's been ages since I did an outfit post so here's a little something for you :) I was going to do some outdoor photos while I'm home, but as it's F-ERRREEZING at the mo, I'm remaining inside for a little while!

This is the sort of outfit I normally wear for uni, a little overdressed I know, but why not? :) I bought this Topshop coat off eBay last autumn and layered it with my H&M fur stole (which I bought well over a year ago and never wore because I was scared people would laugh at me - I'm a lot braver with my fashion these days!). Underneath, I'm wearing an embellished collar blouse from Missguided and my favourite Topshop Joni Jeans...although I can never ever get away from the knee-ruching - damn my extremely short legs! Lastly, my lovely shoes are from Primark. Pretty sure they still have really similar styles of these in now for around £10. 

I've got a few new outfit posts lined up for next week too :) trying to get back into the swing while I'm home and have a little bit of time to take photos!

Polka Dots

Jeans - Topshop; Blouse - Forever 21; Necklace - ZARA

Firstly, I'm so sorry for the horrible grainy-ness of the first photo! Natural light doesn't exist in my room and this wall is my only vaguely blank canvas! But I wanted a picture that showed the fit of my new favourite jeans, the Topshop Joni jeans. I've wanted a pair of high-waisted jeans for ages but always found they looked stupid on me, until I found these :) they're a bit ruched round my knees because I got the 30" leg and I'm actually more like 26" (teeeny legs!) but I don't really mind it! Definitely going to get a light blue pair for the summer :). I featured the Forever 21 blouse in my haul post and love it so much, it's not sheer at all, so no need to wear a vest top underneath, and I paired it with my gold and sapphire look chain which I received as a Christmas pressie (which my dad kindly called a toilet chain - thanks daddy!). I also went on another little 'returning items but then buying some new ones' shop today, so I'll get another haul post up soon ;)

Sunny Afternoon

Finally returning to posting after my lovely holiday on the south coast of Spain. I got an actual natural tan for the first time since I was a bambino so I'm very excited to show it off now I'm home! The weather is actually quite nice here today so I decided to wear my new pale lilac Topshop jeans for the first time. I bought these at the beginning of the 'summer' but due to the horrible rain and cloud I never wore them. I teamed them with this floaty grey leopard print tee style blouse by Jovonnista. I absolutely love Jovonna and Jovonnista clothing, they do some really classy pieces, like my lovely blue blazer that I have lived in for years (and will no doubt feature in an outfit post sometime!). It's all thanks to the lovely Pixie Lott that I found this brand, after tracking down lots of clothes that she wore when promoting her debut album. I'm also wearing my new 'boyfriend' watch from ASOS. I decided on a rose gold colour instead of bright gold as I think it'll look a lot nicer set against a lot of the pastel coloured clothes I've got at the moment! 

I have loads of new clothes to blog about (got a maaaaajor deliv while I was away - was just like Christmas when I got home!) and will be posting a lot more on my return to uni, not far away now! :)

Boucle

Went out for a casual dinner tonight to a little Italian restaurant in town (if you've seen my Tweets you'll know I'm a bit obsessed with antipasti - could live on it for the rest of my life!). We also strangely did sambuca shots at the end of the meal, don't know where that idea came from!

 Didn't want to be too dressed up so just wore my new BARGAIN boucle jacket from Primark (a tenner and it looks so much more!), a black sleeveless peplum top from Topshop and my fave New Look jeans! I never used to be able to find jeans I really liked due to my weirdly proportioned body but these New Look ones are amazing, they're so comfy! I think they're the 'supersoft superskinny' ones, and this colour is my favourite, I think it makes your legs look sooo much slimmer!
